Project Janszoon’s Education Programme launched in 2014, and after 10 years we’ve seen over 8000 students experience the biodiversity and natural wonders of the Abel Tasman National Park. Some of them have gone on to work in conservation and leadership, and our Abel Tasman Youth Ambassador programme continues to inspire and educate young leaders. We couldn’t do this work without the help of supporters like the Abel Tasman Sea Shuttles and The Department of Conservation, as well as the schools, teachers and helpers who give up their time and energy to get the kids into the park. We’d also like to thank the Neal and Annette Plowman of the Next Foundation for their foresight and generosity which has enabled this programme to be so successful.
